Anil Potti MD is a United States based popular clinician who takes special interest in taking care of patients with lung cancer. He received his M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery) degree from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore, India in 1995. He attended the St. Patrick’s High School in Secunderabad, India from 1977 to 1987 and pursued Majors in Biology, Physics and Chemistry at LFJ College, Secunderabad, India. He received Residency Training at the Department of Internal Medicine from the University of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine, Fargo, North Dakota and Fellowship Training at the Duke University in Durham, NC.
Anil Potti MD is a Board Certified Oncologist and has served as the Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine in UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Department of Medicine at the Duke University. Over the past few years, for his dedicated services to teaching and patient care, Dr. Anil Potti has multiple accolades like Joseph Greenfield Mentoring Award in 2010, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) in 1999, Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award – Medical students in 2002, Leonard P.Tow Humanism in Medicine Award and Outstanding Teacher Award – Internal Medicine Residents in 2003, Robert Silber Research Prize in 2006, ASCO IDEA Mentor Award in 2008 and 2009, Lisa Stafford Clinical Research Prize in 2008 and more.
Besides being a successful clinician, Dr. Anil Potti also believes in working for the welfare of the society. He regularly donates his time and money to the local school system and the local church. He is an active member of organizations like Alpha-Omega-Alpha (AOA) Honor Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and American Association of Cancer Research (AACR). |

Along with other researchers, he has played a significant role in the development of several clinical and research programs in cancer. Dr. Potti has contributed in a large number of research papers including Age- and-Sex specific genomic profiles in non-small cell lung cancer, Genetic heterogeneity of Myc-induced mammary tumors reflecting diverse phenotypes including metastatic potential, a genomic approach to colon cancer risk stratification yields biological insights into therapeutic opportunities and more.
